Delete sellers

Marketplace operators can delete a seller that was created by mistake, or never used. A seller can't be deleted while anything still needs it, such as products it still has, orders, payouts, or a staff user who belongs to no other seller. Any product the seller already deleted is removed along with the seller.

Delete a seller

1. In the dashboard, navigate to Sellers -> Accounts and select the seller.

2. Below the seller's details, select Delete seller.

3. Review the dialog. It checks the seller each time it opens and lists:

   • what is deleted along with the seller, and
   • what stays but loses its link to the seller.

   If anything still needs the seller, the dialog lists each blocker instead, and Delete stays disabled.

4. Select Delete. You return to the Sellers list.

Delete several sellers

1. In the dashboard, navigate to Sellers -> Accounts.
2. Select the sellers to delete.
3. Select Delete.

Bulk deletion is all or nothing. If any selected seller can't be deleted, none are, and each blocked seller is named with its reasons. Deselect those sellers and delete again.

Notify your integrations

A SELLER_DELETED webhook is sent for every deleted seller, whether it was deleted from the dashboard or through the API (sellerDelete, sellerBulkDelete).
